Magnatone Tone Cabinets

In 1957, Owners Duhamell and Hellman sold Magna to a group of owners who all came from Thomas Organ and it's parent company Pacific Mercury. Previously, Magna only sold guitars and guitar amps, but with the new ownership coming from an organ company, the first new product to be engineered was a Magnatone organ tone cabinet called the TC-1.

The TC-1 was fitted with two Oxford 12" Alnico speakers faced in opposite directions in the cabinet. From its debut in 1957 through 1959, the TC-1 was produced in more numbers than any other guitar amplifier at Magna.
