The MP1 was the smallest of the new Pro Series of Magnatones as they fully switched focus from accordions to guitar.

One of the MP1's channel is an instrument input with volume, treble, bas, and reverb controls, while the other is a microphone input with volume and tone controls. The tremolo uses an LDR (like a Ampeg Gemini I) to limit the instrument signal post preamp. The reverb uses a 12AU7A as phase inverter for a 25KCT:8ohm reverb transformer (This was an interesting step for engineering, all the previous Estey reverb circuits used a tube stage as a driver).

See MP1, MP2, MP3, MP4, and MP5 pages for details of other Pro Series amplifiers.
